Study on gender analysis on climate in the context of recovery from the economic crisis in Sri Lanka
This study will explore the gender-specific vulnerabilities of communities facing weather-related extreme events in various areas such as livelihoods and economic inclusion, resource management, health including Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research, protection, education, and social protection. It also aims to investigate how existing climate data overlaps with gender vulnerabilities in the context of ongoing crises, and how women and girls, including those who are ethnic minorities and persons with disabilities, cope with existing crises and climate challenges. Additionally, the study will examine the existing plans and key gaps in addressing the gendered dimensions of climate resilience, disaster preparedness and response, including in the context of recovery from the economic crisis.
